2021 year in review!

12.31.2021! It is New Year’s Eve! I’m sure we can all say we are looking forward to the new year with caution, it’s all been so much lately. I am hoping the new year brings peace, love and good health to all who might read this!  I am not doing a resolution this year (I read somewhere that only 8% are successful.. crazy!) but instead I just want to overall better myself! I think the one thing I really want to work on is patience. So that’s going to my word for this year. Patience! Patience with myself, patience with my kids, patience with Tom. ;)  January - Samuel had a check up for his kidney post surgery and all looked good. He was still recovering a bit so we had a slower month. Tom was slower at work so we did a few outings to the indoor park and the MN zoo. It was a quiet month at home together. Tom turned 34!  February - Elliott, Sam and Molly are two!! ❤️❤️❤️ March - I really can’t remember anything memorable that happened this month, ha! Looking back at pict...

RSV times 3//Fall 21

Woof. What a week!!! It has been a really rough week over here at the Glenn household!! Let me start at the beginning.. last Friday 10/22 Toms parents came over to babysit the kids so we could get together with the tribe. We had a great night and got home around 11. They said molly had been coughing a lot, and felt warm. She was up when I went to check on her and so I got her out of bed. She was coughing a ton! She slept ok on Friday night, was up on and off coughing but never really was up crying. Saturday she was definitely much worse. She slept in and didn’t move much at all most of the morning, and had a fever. I took her into our bed to nap and noticed her breathing seemed off. She was retracting and I told Tom I thought she should be seen.  We dropped the boys off at my parents and headed to Children’s. Luckily we got in right away - she had a 102 fever-  and they tested for flu, covid and RSV. Those took about 90 minutes to come back so in the meantime they gave h...

September 2021

It’s fall!! I am so happy. I am absolutely loving this weather and feel so excited for the next few months! Last year was so strange with the holidays I am just really looking forward to seeing family and friends and seeing the holidays through the triplets eyes!  It has been a good summer; but I am ready for the cooler weather and the next few months. We packed a lot into summer this year, the kids are at an age where it’s possible to do a little more so it’s been fun!  This summer we did several parades, the splash pad, waterpark, swimming a few times, the fair twice, a food truck festival, lots of parks, saw fireworks (which they loved, and it was a blast until the ride home when Samuel projectile vomited alllll over - yikes!) and had lots of quality time with family and friends. As hard as it it watching them get older it’s so fun that we are  able to take them to do more. We don’t have to be super rigid with their schedule if there’s something we want to do....

7 years together 9.16.14

Next week, Tom and I will celebrate 7 years of marriage! So hard to believe it’s been that long! I thought it would be fun to highlight the last 7 years and what we have accomplished together.  2011 - we met officially. On November 5, at Moose Country. RIP 🤣  2012 - dating, went on our first trip to Wi Dells over Labor Day  2013 - engaged! 8/10/13 at the Dakota County Fair.  2014 - bought our first townhouse in IGH in May, married 9/16/14 in the beautiful outer banks, North Carolina  2015 - honeymoon! Florida Keys and then a cruise to Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel in February. Went to Duluth in Sept to celebrate our first anniversary. Miscarriage #1 2016 - another trip to Dominican Republic at an all inclusive (our favorite trip ever!!!) went to Oklahoma for thanksgiving  2017 - signed on the lot for our new house to be built. Moved in with my parents for 3 months, sold our townhouse and moved into our new house in Rosemount. So much fun. Started...

Day in the life

I always love reading these on other people’s blogs, and I think it will be so fun to look back later and remember these days! The days are long but the years are short - so true ;)  Triplets are 2.5 next week! So this is our daily routine at this time in their lives.  730/8 everyone is typically up. Molly likes to sleep in, so if I didn’t go in and get her she would sleep later, but I like to keep everyone on a similar schedule so I get her up once the boys are up. Samuel is our earliest riser, I usually hear him around 715. Elliott is up shortly after! We do diapers and then it’s breakfast. They love pancakes and waffles or “awfuls” as Molly says. We eat and then get dressed for the day!  During the week, we go to the gym 2-3 mornings a week, usually Monday, Tuesday, and Wed. I take a class at 930 so we are out the door by 9 am! Sometimes that is a small miracle ;) the kids love the gym and I recently stopped using the stroller to bring them in. I was terrified of...

June 2021

It has been a while since I’ve gotten on here. I feel like I have so much to update. 2 is HARD. I will say it a thousand times but man oh man.. three two year olds is the hardest stage yet. I am really trying to enjoy all the moments (and truly there are SO many moments to enjoy) and not wish away time, but holy cow this is a tough age with three. Or even with one haha but three it’s almost impossible.. almost ;)  All three have started speech therapy at Fraser. Elliott has been going since November but about a month or so the other two started. We’ve seen a huge improvement so far!  Elliott -  Elliott is doing so well!!! He is talking a lot more, and has even started to label some objects. He isn’t putting together sentences yet but is able to tell me “all done” and can point out several toys/objects. It is fun to hear his little voice! He repeats a lot of the same words, so one day he will say “ball” all day and then the next day it will be something else, but I think t...

TWO!

They are two!! I’ve been meaning to write this for a while but with three two year olds time gets away from me. By the end of the most evenings I am happy to just sit and watch a show or play mindless games on my phone, ha! #truelife  Elliott - Elliott is 28.8 lbs, and 35.” He is growing well! There’s been a lot going on with him and I haven’t shared too much but here goes. We are pretty sure Elliott has autism. He is in the process of doing speech therapy and a class for toddlers with communication / social delays. He’s been doing both since November. Once he completes that class in two weeks, he will start occupational therapy twice a week and he is now on a wait list for a full psychological evaluation to determine if he has autism, and to what degree. It’s been very hard for me to come to terms with this and I’ve been pretty quiet about it - but the more I’ve been involved with the clinic we are working with and the more research I’ve done, the more I feel confident about helpi...
