30 Weeks and Happy New Year!
Happy new year!!! We can now safely say the babies will be born this year. It was looking for a while like we may have had 2018 babies but they hung in there! I am 30 weeks 3 days today. So exciting to have made it to this milestone, another huge goal met!
I officially have my C section scheduled for early Feb!! They are giving me a 30% of making it that far- but every week, every day is a day closer. The average triplets are born between 32-34 weeks, so I guess we will see what happens! Could be any day now! I was measured at my appointment today and I am coming in at 41 weeks!! Babies are looking great, have been REALLY active this week! The boys are still breech and pushing down, so the pressure is still occurring especially when walking.
I’m still feeling pretty dang uncomfortable, my new pain has been Sciatic pain running down my right leg. I’m unable to put weight on my leg when I get the jolt of pain. Luckily it’s been pretty random and doesn’t last long. Last night I finally got to the pool, went swimming at the community center. I’m sure I was a sight to see in my bathing suit, haha! I decided I didn’t care and went for
It. It felt amazing being in the water!! I didn’t want to get out! When I did get out I felt so heavy! It’s crazy to think how much extra weight I’ve been carrying around. I am easily out of breath from doing simple tasks and have felt really congested. The dr says the congestion is due to all the extra fluid. I luckily am not swollen on my hands or feet, which the drs have been really surprised by! I’ll take it though! The swimming should help with that too so I’m going to try to go a few more times before these kiddos make their debut!! Also, when I say swimming I mean floating, ha! I tried doing a few laps but I was so exhausted!! Guess that’s what happens when you are on bed rest for 2 months!
I’m still working full time, and Tom has been a little slower at work so last week he finished the laundry room! He’s starting on the bathroom this week! It’s so exciting to see how much progress he’s been making. We know once these kiddos come there won’t be extra time for basement work so getting as much done as possible now. As much as I want these babies OUT and my body back, I am trying to enjoy these last few weeks. This will be the last time it’s just Tom and I and even though I can’t do much these days we are trying to spend time together, even it just means taking a drive or watching a movie! I’d like to try to get out for one more dinner or something but we will see how i feel. This weekend I was feeling good so we ran some errands and I did more walking than usual and I was really sore and exhausted after.
So again, no real major updates this week- but thankful for everyday I can stay pregnant and babies are healthy! Crazy to think in a few weeks I’ll be updating the blog with the announcement of their arrival!! Happy new year, everyone!
