Another week closer!
Another week has come and gone. Tomorrow I will be 26 weeks- so close to our second goal after our hospital stay. I say this everytime- but I am so grateful for each day I am able to keep these babies cooking. I go back to the doctor for an appointment on Thursday and am anxious to see what they have to say. So far everything seems to be about the same; just feeling more uncomfortable with each passing day!
This week was a bit more eventful than last, however. I started working from home so that has kept me busy and also allowed me to get into a “routine” which is really nice! We’ve also had some snow, which means Tom has been busy and gone at odd hours of the day/night. Life of a plow driver, haha. I am used to it now! Our neighbors threw us a wonderful diaper party last night- the theme was guns and roses, how perfect is that?! Of course an hour before it started it was snowing like crazy and the roads were terrible. Tom got called into work to start plowing!! A few people were unable to attend due to the weather but we still had a good time! Tom missed the first hour or so and then was able to join us. Luckily it was two houses down so I was able to attend too! All in all it was fun and nice to see everyone! We have so many diapers now, just hoping to not have to use them for at least a few more weeks!
I’ve been feeling increasingly uncomfortable but I guess that’s not too surprising. Still craving cheezits and waffles. Eating for four, what can I say?! We’ve still been working on the basement (we means Tom) while he has time, slowly but surely making progress! I am so proud of him, it looks amazing and it’s fun to be able to say we did it ourselves.
Funny story- after the diaper party last night, we left around 1030 which is super late for me these days, Tom had to go to work and I was watching a movie in bed. I started to feel really cold so I checked the thermostat for the temperature. We have a Nest so I can check from my phone. It said offline 9 hours ago. Hmmm. So I went downstairs and saw the thermostat was completely black. Not a good sign and the house was freezing! So I called Tom.. he told me to go check downstairs, apparently while he was working in the basement that afternoon he accidentally turned the furnace switch off! Ha! So we had no heat running for 9 hours, the house was 52 degrees!! I switched that on and the heat kicked in, luckily. I grabbed some extra blankets and was fine. Just kind of a random thing to happen! Tom got home around 7 am and we slept for a few more hours.
Well I think this has been long enough for tonight- gotta get to bed, work tomorrow and I have a long commute to the office ;)
Thanks for all the continued prayers and support!
