2022 in Review!!

 2023!!! The last full year I have with these three home!! They officially start K NEXT YEAR!! (Fall of 2024) How did it happen this fast… I am not ready…  and also I cannot WAIT.  Motherhood is so weird and confusing 🤣 


January 

Tom turned 35! Started out the year with a girls weekend, a friend was in town from Colorado so after our tribe NYE party we did a night at the mall of America, hibachi and an escape room. Super fun and we escaped! Molly moved into her big girl room and bed! Tom put up some board and batten walls in our kitchen/dining room. 

February 

Trips turned 3!! Celebrated the “young wild and three” year olds with a trip to Great Wolf Lodge waterpark! It was an experience 😆 they were still a tiny bit small to enjoy such a big park, but we did the hotel, had cupcakes and they did some bowling! Overall a fun night with our family.  They started pre-school 4 days a week all with the same teacher. First bus ride and they loved it! Finished up the kids “big rooms” and got the boys bunks set up and both rooms painted. Had a date night out at wedding at the St. James hotel. It was a blast connecting with old friends and dancing! 

March 

Samuel got his tonsils and adnoids removed and got ear tubes. Surgery went great and we are thrilled with the results. Much better sleep and no more snoring! Hooray! Tom and I took a long weekend away before he got busy at work again. Went to Grandview Lodge and had a great time! Thanks to both sets of grandparents (again!) for making this happen. Trips started swimming lessons at the Y! Sammer is potty trained! 

April 

Easter! Celebrated with both sides of the fams and did some egg hunts! Had another wedding and mom might still be feeling the after effects of that one… whoops. Such a fun night with friends celebrating a wedding!! 

May

Memorial Day BBQ with the Glenn fam - always a great time with cousins! Hot summer days, lots of time spent with the splash pad outside! 

June - school was out for a few weeks. Zoo trips, swimming lessons, and lots of popsicles and outside time! 

July

Fun 4th of the July with the Apple valley parade and fireworks and swimming with the neighbors! Celebrated grandpa George’s 90th with a family party. 

August 

Dakota county fair- always a favorite!  Sam loved the kiddie roller coaster - we may have a little thrill seeker on our hands 🙈 he loved it! Went to Duluth for the weekend and saw rode on Thomas the train! Fun little vacation with the 5 of us! 

Sept 

Back to school! Our first back to school night and with each of them in a separate class we had three teachers to meet and classes to see. Everyone ended up right where they belong! 8 years of marriage for us on the 16th. Got a little date day in Hastings with some beautiful weather. I did my annual girls weekend, went to a friends cabin and had lots of laughs and drinks like always with my girlfriends. 

October 

Chase, Skye and Marshall had a great Halloween! ;) Our neighborhood is so fun for Halloween, and they LOVED trick or treating. Lots and lots of candy. Welcome auntie Kira officially into the family, Matt and kira are married! 

November

I turned 34.. with the stomach flu 😂 so that was great haha. But it ended up alright. Spent a quiet thanksgiving at home. 

December 

My trip to NYC! Had a blast exploring the big apple with my mom aunts and a friend. Paid off the van - no more car payments!! Christmas was wonderful and we are excited for all that 2023 will bring.

2024 things

 Jumping right in because I start every post the same way “wow, time has gone by so fast, I am gonna update this more!” Ha.  The triplets are FIVE! We celebrated big by heading to Disney world!! It was Tom’s first time along with the kids, so fun to experience all the firsts with them! We are so thankful my parents took us, definitely couldn’t do Disney with 3 5 year olds just Tom and I! Started the trip out with some good drama, wouldn’t be a family vacation without that! Ha! We had a super early flight and got to the airport with what we thought was plenty of time… 2 hours early. Unfortunately we missed our flight.. TSA was super backed up and it was a stressful start. 2023 recap // Elliott update

 * I started this in mid December* 😂 Merry Christmas, happy holidays, happy new year to all! I haven’t been super active on here but it’s part of my plan for 2024! I love looking back on it and it’s nice to take the time to reflect and write down the day to day as it changes few so quick and times goes so fast! January :  Tom’s birthday! We had a fun date night out axe throwing with some friends! We also got our house re-painted inside! So many marks on the walls and actually got non flat paint! Really made a difference!! Celebrated a late Christmas with Tom’s mom’s side, and we hosted! It was a fun celebration and nice to see everyone. Unfortunately, after that many of us got Covid. All 5 of us tested positive.. quarantine crew! I also joined a winter bowling league with some girlfriends on Monday nights, such a fun thing!  February:  Elliott, Sam and Molly are FOUR! had a little family celebrating with a paw patrol cake, pizza and balloons and they were so pumped!...

June 2022

 Summer is in full swing around here! We are loving all of the outdoor activities and the warmth! It’s been a lot of fun already this summer, I can already tell a huge difference vs last summer on what they can do. It’s fun to experience all the summer things through their eyes!  So many times I think to myself “I never want to forget this” or “I wish I could bottle up their little voices” so I figured I’d just do a quick blog post so that I can look back and remember one day :)  Elliott is talking up a storm!!!! It is like night and day! I love hearing him talk… turns out he has A LOT to say ;) He just got some red Mickey Mouse native shoes and oh man he is so thrilled about them. So fun to see how much he loves Mickey!  Samuel is the life of the party… and is also exhausting! Ha. He goes a million miles a minute until he crashes.
