29!

29 weeks, 2 days, and boy am I feeling it! So excited to have made it another week. It feels like such a relief, everyday I’m still pregnant is just another day the babies get to grow and develop! It’s such a fun time of year to be pregnant, too! However- after all of the Christmas events this week I am pretty tired! Tom is off work this week so it’s nice to have to home during the day. I am off today but will work (from home still) tomorrow and Friday. Hard to imagine what Christmas will look like next year with three babies in the house!!!

Happy to report we don’t have any major updates pregnancy wise. I am still feeling pressure and it’s pretty intense, so I’m not walking much. Friday night and into Saturday the pressure was really bad again, so after much debating and calling the clinic we decided to head into Mother Baby Center to get it checked out. We knew I wasn’t in labor or anything  but we and the on call dr on the phone agreed that I’d have more peace of mind just getting looked at. Went in and they found all babies heartbeats nice and strong, and did another ultrasound. Babies are still butt down pushing on my cervix, which explains the pressure. They also did another Fetal Fibronectin test to see if there was a protein being created that would tell the drs if I am going to deliver in the next two weeks. It’s not super accurate, especially with multiples but they decided to do it just to see. That came back negative. Doesn’t necessarily mean that I won’t have the babies in the next two weeks but it does show my body is not prepping for labor at that time. I am still dilated to 1 cm. Now we know that pressure I am feeling is my “new normal” and I’m glad we went in as I was able to (mostly) enjoy thr Christmas events! I am still so uncomfortable  and it seems like every day is getting worse, but I am trying to make the best of it!

Also at the hospital I saw my new weight. Ahhhhh. That wasn’t fun, let me tell you!! I’ve gained about 50 lbs, with about half of that weight coming on in the last month or so. The dr assured me that this is completely normal and encouraged me to eat even more if I can. These days, I can’t eat big meals but I am snacking more throughout the day. Hard to believe I can even fit anything else in my stomach!

I go back to the clinic tomorrow for my weekly check up. If all continues to look good in a few weeks tthey will schedule me for a C section at 36 weeks. 36 weeks! I can’t even imagine being pregnant for another 7 weeks, haha but it would be so amazing for the babies! They said I likely won’t make it that far and mine will probably be an “emergency” C-section (anything that isn’t scheduled ahead of time is considered emergency but it wouldn’t likely actually be one) but they like to schedule them about a month ahead. We know there are so many unknowns ahead but feel really good about where we are now!

The basement is coming along so nicely!! We had friends come again this weekend and help, the laundry room is almost finished now! The guys it got it alll drywalled and me and the girls made breakfast and Christmas cookies. It was so fun! My social interactions have been less frequent these days  so I enjoyed getting to see friends and eat cookies ;) Tom got the ceiling done, the lights in and the walls painted this week and will put the flooring in tonight or tomorrow, and we will officially have a laundry room! Two rooms done in the basement!! It’s so fun to see the progress and Tom is doing an amazing job. We are so thankful we have friends that have made time to come help us, we wouldn’t be half as far without everyone’s help!!

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday with family and has a great new year! New Year’s Eve marks 30 weeks for us- another huge milestone!!
