Dirty thirty and appointment update!
Ahhh I am 30. It feels weird to say, but I am actually really excited to be 30. Bring it on! So many nice wishes and messages today, I feel very loved!
We had our first follow up today after the hospital stay. I was anxious to hear if anything had changed and we knew would be seeing the babies via ultrasound so that is always fun. Happy to report that all looks the same, there were no major changes from being at home! No resdmission and I can stick to the same routine at home! They also gave me the OK to take a Target run today, ha! Highlight of the last two weeks for me for sure :-)
The babies are doing great!! They have slowed down a little in growth (very common with multiples)
So they are no longer in the 90th percentile, but still are developing on track and look great.
Baby A is 1 pound, 11 oz
Baby B is 1 pound, 9 oz
Baby C (girl!) is 1 pound 8 oz
They were all moving around like crazy and I can feel them kicking and moving all the time. At night they move a lot! Baby B is prettt crazy so we feel him the most.
We also got to tour the NICU today and get more information about what the babies stay there might look like. Of course the time they come will affect the length of the NICU stay. At 28 weeks we will meet with the NICU drs to get an idea of what we can expect if the babies cane then. We’ve been told to expect the babies to stay till their 40 week due date. I can only imagine how hard it is going to be to go home without our babies, but trying not to think about it. I feel so blessed to be able to carry these babies this far and hope to continue as long as possible but a triplet pregnancy is such a different experience. We are just taking everything day by day and each evening are thankful we’ve made it another day.
I’m off to eat ice cream cake and sit on the couch with Tom the rest of the evening! Happy thanksgiving everyone!!
