2019 in review!

What a year it has been!!!! So hard to believe all that’s changed and happened this year!! I thought it would be fun to do a year in review for 2019! 2019 was hands down the most life changing, exhausting, incredible year. I wouldn’t have believed anyone who told me in 2009 that I’d end that decade married for over 5 years, would have built a house, and would be a stay at home mama to the littlest loves of my life. No one could have prepared me for the love I could have for three more people at once. How many people in their lives get to meet three people in one day that will forever change them?! We are so so lucky. This year has been all about survival and the triplets. I feel like we were able to do so much more than survive, though, and I am so proud of Tom and I! We welcome
2020, But I wouldn’t mind at all if time could slow down just a bit ;)

January - Tom turned 32! We anxiously awaited meeting the triplets!! I stopped working and started my maternity leave mid month.

February- obviously the best month ;) 2/6/19 Elliott, Samuel and Molly arrived! 10:17 am for Big E and 10:19 for Samuel followed by Molly within the same minute!
Samuel and Molly came home with us on Saturday, 2/16 and Elliott joined us 2/18. There was a big snowstorm and me and the babies packed up and spent the night at my parents, while Tom was out plowing for many hours!

March- adjusting to life with three babies. Family and friends started to meet the trio! Got our newborn pictures taken on their 1 month birthday!!

April- Aunt Brenda came from Ohio to meet the babies, and we celebrated their first Easter! Tom started a new job with Wagner Sod company.  Tom and I spent our first night away from all three babies celebrating some friends birthdays. First triple sleepover at Gigi and grandpas!

May- Elliott was officially diagnosed with his lactose allergy, so I stopped pumping! What a relief that was!! Elliott’s formula switched and he started to feel better. Samuel and Molly also got on thickened formula due to aspirating while eating. Samuel started physical therapy once a week for his head tilt and got his kidneys looked at. Special visitors from Canada! Wayne and Aleesha came to meet the trips and we went to Garth Brooks! Amazing concert.

June- I officially quit my job at the state and decided I would stay home with the babies. We spent time outside and Charli was with us all summer on Monday’s and Tuesday’s. Samuels therapy went down to 2 times a month! I joined in on a girls weekend - only for one night!

July - 4th of July! Had friends over for a bbq and slip N slide fun in the backyard! Had our Glenn side baby shower at Jason and Sara’s, got lots of clothes and of course, more diapers!

August- 6 months old! Went to the Dakota County fair with the trio. Took Molly to the state fair while the boys got to hang with auntie Anne! Our first night all in a hotel- we survived! :) celebrated grandpa George’s birthday with the McPhillips family and got a big family photo. Enjoyed more time outside and in our little pool!

September- Molly and Samuel started occupational and speech therapy through the school district twice a month. Working on feeding skills, babbling and motor skills. Molly was taken to the ER and diagnosed with bronchiolitis. Tom went to a bachelor party for the weekend.  Celebrated nana and papas 40th wedding anniversary with a fun dinner with family. Celebrated 5 years married with a dinner out and a losing trip to the casino :)

October- first cousin sleepover at Uncle Jason’s and Aunt Sara’s! Our  first Halloween, three  pumpkins went trick or treating with neighbors and cousins. Tom and I went to a wedding and went out of town for the weekend with our friends.

November- I turned 31, and we had our first Thanksgiving. Molly got her first (and only so far) ear infection. Did 9 month photos with our newborn photographer.

December- Christmas time! Saw Santa at the mall and all three ended up with croup for Christmas Day. We spent a quiet day at home with matching jammies and Christmas movies! Made Christmas cookies with Nana, Auntie Sara and cousin Aly.

This was the main highlights and of course there were more than a few not so fun things mixed in, but overall it was a great year. There were many moments that were hard, where patience was tested and where Tom and I wondered what the heck we are doing with three kids, but we made it and I would go back and do it allllll again in a heartbeat.

cheers to 2020!!
